Who we are

Family-run, brewing since 2009.

Two Shy Brewing started in 2009 as five-gallon homebrew batches in a Roseburg garage. The taproom on NW Park Street has been open since 2012, and today the same family runs three taprooms between the valley and the coast.

Lyle Hruda brews, and Danielle Hruda runs the community side of things. We opened Two Shy Reedsport in 2022, and the family also runs Bandon Brewing in Old Town Bandon. Three taprooms keep us close to the people who drink our beer.

We don’t have a single signature beer. We brew the styles we like to drink: crisp pilsners, amber ales, hazy IPAs, coffee stouts and barrel-aged beers. Some of our beers are award-winning.

We pour for local causes too, from humane society and watershed fundraisers to fire recovery after the 2020 Labor Day fires.

Why pour Two Shy

Familiar enough to trust. Interesting enough to talk about.

We’re never satisfied with where our beer is. Every batch is a chance to push the craft a little further, and that drive shows up in two ways on your taps.

First, the beers your regulars already trust: a crisp pilsner, a reliable amber, a hazy IPA that pours the same this round as it did last round. A keg from us tastes like the last keg from us. That consistency is what lets a tap house say yes to us in the first place.

Second, the beers that give people a reason to talk. We’re always testing new styles and techniques, including barrel-aged beers that can take up to a year to make. Those aren’t strange side projects; they’re made with the same care as our award-winning beers, so when a customer takes a chance on something new, it’s actually good.

That combination is what we bring to a tap list: the dependable pour that keeps people ordering, and the unexpected one that gets people telling their friends.

What we offer

Sixtel and half-barrel kegs.

We supply our craft beer on draft in two keg sizes.

SixtelAbout 5.2 gallons, a sixth of a barrel
Half barrel15.5 gallons, the standard full-size keg

Sixtels suit taps you rotate often and coolers with limited space. Half barrels suit a style you pour steadily.

Who we work with

Bars & taverns

Reliable draft from a brewery with deep local roots, across crisp, hoppy, malty and dark styles.

Tap houses

A range wide enough to rotate through. Sixtels let you run several styles without tying up a full-size keg on each.

Growler fill stations

A spread of styles to keep a fill station interesting, in kegs sized to how fast you sell.

Restaurants & event venues

Beer from a family-run Oregon brewery to pour with food or at an event.
